Renovations on the Crossroads Lodge
have been ongoing for over two years; however, turning the old roadside tavern
into a luxury sportsman's retreat has proved to be far more costly than anyone
could have anticipated. While the main bar and dining area have remained
open for business, both areas still need improvements and, despite months of hard
work, only half the Lodge's guest rooms are anywhere near ready for
use. Brenda had hoped to have
everything completed before officially opening the Lodge to guests.
However, with her savings all but gone, she's been forced to open eight
months ahead of schedule to raise enough money to finance the rest of the
work.
The Lodge's first retreat, a three day hunting weekend, booked
solid within hours of the advertisement being posted on the Lodge's
website—mostly through referrals from friends. Now all Brenda and her staff
need to do is make sure the weekend is a resounding success for the select
VIP guests who will be arriving within the next 24 hours.

The Hunting Retreat story will be told in four parts—one for each
day. Use the Links on the left to view each day's events as the story
unfolds or use the links below to return to the main Crossroads photo story
